🏠 Goal: reach the hut before your rival.
⏱ The big numbers are minutes to the hut, each at their own speed. Lower is better.
👆 Each round tap a route (A, B or C) to move 20 minutes. Sometimes there is only one way.
🪨 Or block them: drop a rockfall on their way (+15′ for whoever crosses
it), or once per race send
the cows (that spot closes for good).
Example: you're at 41′ and walk route B → 21′. But the bot dropped a rockfall on B:
crossing it costs 15′, so you end at 36′. After every round a card shows exactly why your number changed.
More rules
Hiker and biker. The hiker is fast on trails. The biker flies on roads and bike trails but has to
push on hiking trails (white dots on the biker's routes). The bike is fast on roads, so it can look far
away and still be ahead.
Secret choices. You both choose at the same time, then both moves are revealed together. Rockfalls
and cows land first, then everyone moves. If both reach the hut in the same round, fewer minutes wins.
Why 1, 2 or 3 routes? Only routes that are really different are shown. Near the start or on a ridge
there may be just one.
Rockfalls (🪨 shows how many you have left) cost 15 extra minutes to
cross. You can't drop one right next to your rival: it has to be at least 5 minutes ahead of them (the red
shaded stretches are off limits).
🐄 Cows, once per race: instead of moving, send a herd onto a green stretch. Everything within 50 m
closes for good and anyone heading that way goes around. There is always a way to the hut for both of
you.
What the bot does: it usually takes the fastest route, and drops rockfalls where it thinks you will
go.
Mystery huts (gold ?): first one there gets a surprise, one hut per move. A gold ✦ on a route
letter means that route reaches a hut this move. About 7 in 10 surprises are good. In your first two
races against the bot they are always good.
